Just saw this, holy crap. Wonder how the other Corey will take it.
Is anyone really surprised?
Breaking News:
Actor Corey Haim died this morning of an apparent overdose, according to LAPD. He was 38.
Police tell us they were called to St. Joseph's in Burbank, CA shortly before 4AM PT to investigate.
Haim shot to fame in the 80s -- when he co-starred in a number of films, including "The Lost Boys," with Corey Feldman.
Just saw this, holy crap. Wonder how the other Corey will take it.
no surprise but a sad sorry waste.
38 is far too young. Sad.

Not a surprise at all considering how long he had been having problems with drugs. The Hollywood Machine is just not good for some people.
I am a little surprised since he had 5 things in preproduction on IMDB. I figured he was really trying again.
What a shame, very sad...but yet, not surprising. RIP Corey.![]()
This shit makes me mad and sad.

"So, what, no fuckin' ziti now?"
WTF?? In the back of my mind I was always sort of waiting for it, but it still shocked the shit out of me to see it. Sad. What a waste.
I have to say the only thing about his death that surprised me is that it did not happen sooner. Drug addition is a bitch; at least now he will be free of it.
RIP, bb.
This is very sad.
This video was recent. He doesn't look good but he looks sober here.
I just saw this on the news. Another sad ending due to drugs. Lost Boys is one of my favorite movies.
What a shame, he was a talented guy. Not surprising though.
Condolences to his family and Corey Feldman. They were close friends and it will be hard on him. Hope he doesn't feel guilty, he did all he could to help his friend.

Sad. He was a mess.
RIP Corey.
So sad. He still had a lot of potential. We'll always remember him singing in the bathtub in the Lost Boys...

Did anyone watch that "reality" show he and Corey Feldman did a few years ago on A&E? You could tell his mind was altered from the years of abuse then.

Lucas was one of my favorite movies. RIP Corey
The cruel, uneventful state
of apathy releases me
I value them but I won't cry every time one's wiped out
Not surprised at all.
peek-a-boo!!
Not surprized .. sorry to see him go. He will always be LUCAS to meWonder how Feldman will cope losing Corey and Michael Jackson with in a short span of time . Im sure he'll milk it for all it's worth ..his chance to be somewhat relevant again .. RIP Corey

This is so sad. I watched "The Two Coreys" and everyone was trying to help him. It sounded like he was on a truckload of drugs.

Nooooo!!! I have to go to class but I had to ckeck in first. I can't believe it! I can but I can't. man!!!
You don't mess with friggin Dave Coulier click here to mess
Not unexpected, but sad. I wish he could have taken the help and stayed sober, but some people just can't.
Rest In Peace, Corey.
Sad he couldn't get help, or wouldn't
RIP Corey
I shouldnt be suprised, but I am! RIP Corey!
I'm so sad to hear this. I know a lot of you are saying you are not surprised. I actually was b/c I was rooting so hard for him. I watched "The Two Coreys" and my heart broke for him. I hope he is at peace.
Geez! My childhood is literally dying over here! I'm not surprised but still a wee bit surprised if that makes any sense. I had a massive crush on him growing up. I even sent him a fan letter...that he never answered! I was heartbroken and moved on to Joey McIntyre of the New Kids.
I just bought Corey's old Me, Myself and I video from the 80s. It's horrible, sad and was probably terribly dated a week after they made that self serving piece of crap.
Oh well..RIP Haimster.

After watching that scary reality show and seeing his personal assistant crying over his denial and the other Cory trying to get through to him, this is not a shock.
Still very sad and senseless.
RIP troubled boy! Sad that he never grew up.
Regards,
Mary
He died in the same apartment complex as Rick James. Weird.

When someone is on drugs for that long, they are going to die. It's going to kill them if they keep doing it, it's just a matter of time. So it isn't surprising he died of an overdose, but it's always a blow to see someone die so young, no matter the cause. Very sad, very stupid, such a waste.

i am not surprised, but still heartbroken~
RIP corey~
Not surprised. I knew he was messed up when he was selling his teeth? I thought I saw that a while back. Sad.....
RIP.
.
Very sad..always thought he was talented and what a cute kid he was. very tragic.
Zombie kitteh is Hungry!!
Shocker, huh? Rip, fella. Loved you in Lost Boys...
I'm sorry to hear that he has passed on. Thirty-eight is too young, but it seems that some of these Hollywood actors just can't deal with getting older. Rest In Peace Corey. Another part of my childhood gone.
Now there is only one "corey" left.
His mother was in the apartment with him.
He looked horrible on that Two Coreys show, so I knew he was still on the pipe. Too bad, I'm sad to hear this, but like everyone else not surprised at all.
They are saying prescription drugs were his problem and that is what was found with him, not illicit drugs.

He was selling his teeth?! Yikes!
As soon as I saw this thread, I thought "OD". Still sad, though - - Lost Boys is a favorite of mine.
Yes, STsFirstmate it was very sad watching his assistant Nell cry when she confronted him. I was rooting for him to recover, but he looked awful in that video I saw of him three weeks ago. Here it is:
