Breakfast for lupper. Gave DIL her 4th cooking lesson. She is taking it seriously, yeah!, and getting really proud of herself. She made scrambled eggs, war biscuits, ham and gravy, and grits. The eggs were overdone and gravy watery, but I praised her. She ate and cried, and gave me a hug. Next, homemade veggie soup.

Hi Navallint, I think your daughter in law is very lucky to have a MIL that takes the time to teach- IMO that is caring...
Both of my MILs (1from a prior marriage 100 yrs ago lol) were nasty mean- just rotten.
They wouldn't take the time to say hello..

Just me and Miss E tonight. Hubby's working, Schmoo is with his girlfriend at her grandmother's funeral, and the other two boys are at work. (The third is on his way back to his home state of Mississippi.) SO...Miss E and I had breakfast burritos with hash rounds, or the tater tot "caps" Ore-Ida sells. My grocery store had Ore-Ida stuff on sale, so I bought a bag of tater tot caps and a bag of fries to go with tomorrow night's dinner, which is hot dogs and cheesy brats.
