    Ex-Teacher Kidnaps Student

This happened in the great state of Tennessee. They have been missing for a few days now. Apparently the dude took out a loan for $4500, so he has some cash on hand.

Looks like he's having a very bad mid-life crisis that isn't going to end well... I keep looking in the news to see if they've been found, I hope she's returned safe and he's locked up for good. His life isn't going to be worth squat, I'll never understand why anyone would throw their life away like that...

Iam getting the feeling she wasn't an unwilling victim. I feel like she wanted to go with him, maybe they were carrying on an affair....and when he got fired for the sexual misconduct, I have a feeling it was her, and they decided to leave together.

I totally get the same feeling.

I hope they set up new identities or something before they left. $4500 isn't going to get them far, and they can't exactly get jobs when they are on the run. I wonder if they left they country.

I don't know Bette will be interesting to see what happens to them or happened to them.

They still haven't been found. Assuming they are both still alive, they are doing a good job of hiding.

I've been listening to Nancy Grace's podcast and while I'm behind, they think they have changed their appearances and may be in a different vehicle. They haven't used any credit or debit cards so they may be camping. They say they don't think she thinks she's a victim. Apparently a student walked in on her and this teacher in a room at the school while they were kissing and reported it, they both denied it, and they removed her from his class. The dad checked her cell phone and she was still communicating with her. I still have a few more recent podcasts to listen to so I will update with any new info if there is any.

Isn't it hard to believe they have been missing this long? With access to social media as well as 24 hr news sources I doubt there's few people who don't now about this. If a middle aged man is seen with a 15 year old girl it's going to invite all kinds of scrutiny, even if they have altered their appearance. I am not feeling good about this situation at all, $4500 is very little to hide out on, where can they be?

They have been carrying on a relationship for a long time, police found drafts of emails they would send to each other, how they would do it was use his computer and write an email and save it in drafts, they would also use instagram to talk to each other through memes.

https://www.instagram.com/_.babygirl2001._/?hl=en her instagram, all those messages on there are to him.
https://www.instagram.com/tadcummins/?hl=en his instagram all the messages are to her.

They could be camping moving around, but 4,500 isn't going to get them far. I hope they won't do a murder suicide, or a mutual suicide.

It's kind of odd that Elizabeth told her sister "if I'm not back by 6, call the police!" Now to me anyways, that doesn't sound like a willing participant. I have no doubt that they were carrying on for some time, but those last words leads me to believe she became afraid of his obsessiveness in the end. THAT is why I don't feel good about the eventual outcome, and I hope like hell I'm completely wrong. At least when Hannah Anderson went missing she was found in the woods with her captor (who was promptly shot dead by authorities) 3 days later. I can't imagine a 15 year old girl enjoying hiding out this long without getting bored, I personally think that both are no longer alive...

I have a feeling she just told her sister that to cover her ass if they were ever caught, if she didn't want to go with him, she could have stayed home, she could have not got into the car and went into the gas station or into the Shoneys and called her dad or mom to pick her up. I have a feeling she is bored as hell and wishing she never went with him. I don't think they are dead, I think they are hiding, but who knows.

I just noticed the date on photos was 2 weeks ago...where the heck are they going? No way they could cross into Mexico, could they? And not a lot of money. I don't think this will end well.

Thats one possible theory, covering her ass. I certainly hope they're still alive. She also could have gone to wherever he was to break up with him (thus the reason for telling her sister if she's not back by 6) and he just kidnapped her. You know how those control types can be.

He should have ditched the goatee, it looks like he used a black sharpie on it.

I was surprised when this story broke how much hate was directed towards the teacher's wife. Basically, that she should have known he was a perv, because she was married to him.
God forbid a grown ass man be held responsible for his own actions.

I feel sorry for the girl, sounds like her home life sucked, and now shes on the road with this tool.

I am looking at the picture of them together, she does not look scared of him, or like she wants to get away, if she did she could have altered someone to who she was, and that she wanted to get away from him. No I don't think he kidnapped her at all, I think she went of her own free will, and I don't think she went to break up with him, if you look at their instagram pages they were sending each other messages up until the day they left together. I think they may be heading to Mexico.

I'm surprised Instagram hasn't taken their accounts down.

I have a feeling they went to Mexico. The photos taken at the Wal-Mart in Oklahoma City were just a couple days after they disappeared, and a couple days BEFORE it became a national story. It's hard to stay hidden in the US this long, even if you're "going camping."

I can't believe he only died his beard. Like, you would shave it off, surely? He would be much less recognisable if he did. I guess he could have done by now though.
Its so hard to believe they've not been spotted. You would think they stick out like a sore thumb.

Reading through their Instagram is rather sickening

So now the wife wants a divorce.

    They've been married 31 years!

Whatever happened to standing by your man?!

    The world's going to hell!

    Holy crap married 31 years!

This guy is a total nut case. Beth looks different with darker hair and no glasses....why not put a baseball cap on her and sent her into the store alone? Heck no....he is not letting her out of his sight. Of course she wanted to leave with him. But she is only 15.....surely this lifestyle will get old quick with her. I think at some point she will miss her siblings and friends....even if she had a horrible home life. I hope she comes to her senses and tries to get away.

Well, they've been gone for a month now.

He left his wife a note the morning of the disappearance, apparently as a diversionary tactic. Also, he may be running low on his blood pressure medication.

Still don't feel good about the ending of this. But I'm thinking if they ARE in Mexico, how easy would it be for him to get his blood pressure medication? I hope they're still alive.

Glad they were found and that she is safe, no wonder they were off the radar for that long, they were at a commune here in California.

Eh, he evaded capture for more than a month. That's better than most people would have done.

This CNN story has some more details. Among the more salacious: He refilled his Cialis prescription before they left, they bought some lubricant at the Oklahoma City Wal-Mart, and the hotel rooms they were staying in had one bed.

I'm like, "Okay, CNN! We get it! They were fucking!"

It's hard to believe he was able to elude the police for that amount of time while driving the same Nissan Rogue. Even more amazing that he would throw away any future and freedom he has for a piece of ass, because all that is gone, he is done. My biggest fear was that he was going to do the "We'll be together for eternity" murder/suicide thing, and I'm not convinced that wasn't in the works, since he apparently had run out of money. He knew there was an end game, knew he would be put in a cage for the rest of his life, what exactly WAS his plan???

I want to hit fast forward on this.

When do we get a reality show? I could see the 3 of them living together in the same house, engaged in some sort of competition. Hopefully the legal system won't be so short sighted as to circumvent this...
