    At Mary Kate Olson's apartment?

    From Perez Hilton:

    Um... wow?!

    R.I.P.
Heath Ledger passed away on Tuesday, sources reveal exclusively to
    PerezHilton.com.

Details are currently very hazy but it is believed he died of a drug
    overdose.

His body was found at an apartment on Broome Street in manhattan.
We are hearing that one of the Olsen twins was with him, but that is
unconfirmed at the moment. And we hope that's not true

  4. #154
As for the third... Maybe that girl from Now and Then that played Young Chrissy? I don't know....All of them are too young IMHO.
But, as some of you have said...pour me a drink. Anyone have any Everclear?

On a side note, it seems like the entirety of our Death Hag community has congregated at the drop of a hat in light of such sobering events. [67 members and 39 guests currently viewing this thread-- jeesh!]

They were probably friends... he needed a place to crash (before burning) and she let him stay.

Ugh, I just can't believe it!!
I always really liked him, even if I didn't care for some of his movies.

TMZ is reporting that the apartment is owned by Mary Kate Olsen, nothing further than that so, it could be that he was renting it

I just screamed in my office when I saw this on Yahoo... holy shit. Drugs perhaps? He's been looking kind of squeaky lately. Terribly sad.

Did anyone bet on him in the death hag pool?

    Unhappy RIP Heath

Heath wasn't found in one of the Olson's appartments. He was found in his NYC apartment around 3:30 this afternoon. Apparently there were prescription drugs "strewn" about his "death bed". I really hope this is an accident and not a suicide for the sake of his daughter. I am it total shock. You expect to hear Britney or Winehouse died, not somebody like Heath. I JUST heard on FOXNews that cops are telling tmz.com that it was, in fact, an accident. We'll have to wait for the autopsy though. EDIT: The autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. Heath was found face down on the floor of his bedroom; and I was wrong about the apartment. It is owned by Mary Kate Olson.
EDIT 2: The apartment was NOT owned by MKO. A SWAT team is on scene for some reason, maybe just for crowd control.

I am also in shock about the news and how quickly this thread is growing. It's such a shame, but also you have to wonder - someone earlier mentioned inner demons - what makes someone turn to this shit when they have so much going for them. Haven't celebrities realized by now? Drugs = bad times. It's a shame, a talent like that, a career on the rise, a young daughter who will never really know her father, but if it WAS drugs, he did it to himself and there's a part of me that can't really feel that bad. I feel like this board with all the love will chastize me for that, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who is thinking it.

The imdb boards are seriously overloaded right now...man alive. My dang kid is a bit on the sick side so she's camped out on the couch watching Hannah Montana. I'm confiscating the tv at 5pm so I can flip the news on.

I think its to early for anyone to know anything...this is part of the problem of the media..they hear one thing and jump on it weather its true or not. Noone will know anything for certain till the cops and what not say it. i think it would be hard to say now if it was suicide or accident.

I have no idea what he was doing in that apartment. He was so talented. Such a waste.

A highly credible source connected to Heath Ledger tells TMZ the apartment where the actor was found was not owned by Mary Kate Olsen or related to her in any way.

    Thanks little buddy.

Y'know, if Christian Brando is the third and next in line, he's just gonna have to take the back seat (or back page) on this one.

Why would he risk it? He had a little girl. It's sad and so tragic that this happened.

My kid's parked watching Yogi Bear and I'm reduced to the tiny tv with no cable in the kitchen, which is USELESS.

    I just can't believe this!

I just saw Brokeback Mt for the first time last week! We have Monster's Ball on DVD, don't know if I can watch it, since he plays a suicide in there.

    Ugh.

Wow... imagine Mary Kate killed him and set it up to be a suicide?

yeah, people need to forget about his little girl as every man who has a kid and commits suicide still goes ahead with it. According to a lot of info I've read people who kill themselves think they are doing the world a favor... Heath may have felt his daughter would be better off without him (if it was suicide) he really may have wanted to sleep better and took too many sleeping pills.

Reecy...Ramona is not his daughter. Jake Ghyllenhaal is Matilda Rose's godfather. Her mother is Michelle Williams. Ramona is Jake Ghyllenhaal's niece...his sister Maggie Ghyllenhaal and Peter Sargaard's daughter.

You can keep updated on the situation by going to tmz.com, they've been updating like crazy on this. They've just posted that Heath had a substance abuse problem but been clean for a year. He had not been in rehab.
