NPR still doesn't have it. Slowpokes.

Anyone else feel like maybe Sharon, Jay, Abigail, Voytek, Steven, Rosemary, and Leno can rest easier now? It's like the boogeyman is finally gone. That may be giving him too much power, but damn.

Any confirmations on cause of death yet? It would be interesting to know, although I am just really glad that he is dead.

I read that he died of natural causes but i'm sure that is a false report, however i'm glad he's dead too.

Special place in hell is ready.

I feel terrible for the families of his victims. Now they're going to have to deal with the media storm surrounding this heinous beast.

Manson was a cultural figure who brought the hippie and counterculture movement to a halt - he deserves his own thread in the notable figures section like it or not

He was a cold blooded murderer--a freaking baby killer. He deserves nothing but what he got and is getting.

Agreed. He was nothing but a two bit criminal who made others do his dirty work. That is his only claim to fame, he deserves no special treatment because of that. Dead Loser.

Dr Hawley Crippen and Seung Hui-Cho are both in Notable Figures. Acknowledging Manson as a Notable Figure doesn't mean you are celebrating him. He is better known than 95% of the people on there.

Manson is not getting his own thread. I didn't create the policy. I just enforce it without question.

BTW, Manson destroyed the hippy movement. I lived it.

We support and elect others that have killed far more babies than Manson and they will likely get a thread. (I'm not questioning the rule)

    Well that took a while.
I wonder if the guy ever actually felt any remorse for what he caused or was he just too damned crazy for that?

It seems like if there was even a flicker of sanity alive within him that he would have had to think about the horror and the agony that he inflicted on those people and felt something over it.

In reading all the comments since Manson died, maybe a new thread should be started moving him and said others too it. Call it Better Off Dead. Just a thought .

I'm not moving the after death comments. PM another mod. Manson is on two threads. He doesn't need more attention.

TMZ is reporting that Debra was the one who told Roman. His attorney released a statement saying Sharon and Paul's death were still too hard for him to talk about and he hopes one day to fix legal proceedings so he can finally visit their grave.

    http://www.tmz.com/2017/11/20/debra-...th/?adid=hero3

From what I've read, Debra has been a lot kinder to Manson than he deserved, even saying he was the lesser of the evils in the family.

TMZ is also reporting that his body is back at the prison and if no one claims him in 10 days, he will be dusted.

Good to know. I agree he does not need more attention. I figured this was going to start a heated debate on who should be where.

Me too. What the deal is, if a serial/mass murderer has a thread while they are alive, we do not allow a death thread.

If someone runs across a killer who has both, let one of us know so we can merge.

What's really bad is there are those out there still clinging to the fact he was innocent and doesn't deserve all this hate, the same ones who think they should all have been released by now. They are of the theory he shouldn't have been blamed for what the others did but he/they had been in long enough. It doesn't matter there were people lining up to show they were wrong, they were adamant. I don't know if they really are that naive or deliberately trolling people.

No doubt some publicity hound will come forward with a claim he is related to them especially with all those all those who already said they are his kids but in the end, I doubt anyone will want him. Burning him then throwing his dust into the water is the best solution like what happened with Brady.
