New Group Suggestion

I was wondering if it might be a good idea to have a 'Death in the News' group? Which is only for people of interest (celeb, scientist, leader, someone of notoriety, etc...) who have died that day. Currently when someone of note passes away they get combined with the existing groups which also has new posts that contain obits of people who had died many years ago. To me it gets confusing. Then after a week the post can be moved to the other groups. This might be an administrative nightmare but I really don't know how hard it would be to move a thread.

Just a suggestion.

I thank you for your suggestion, but I think that could potentially be confusing, too. Plus it's kind of relative as to whether someone was noteworthy or not. For example, a lot of the sports people who die aren't noteworthy to me, because I don't follow any sports, but they're noteworthy to a lot of others. I think you'd end up with a lot of 'but so-and-so belongs there because -----' type stuff. If someone isn't an actor, musician, or behind-the-scenes person, they go into the Other Deaths section, which can be kind of broad and does include a lot of different folks, newly dead and not. If you are looking for someone and can't find them, try using the 'search thread by title' function, it narrows it down a lot more.

By all means, if anyone has ideas as to how to keep the forum more organized and easy to navigate, suggest away! Ideas welcome!
