If you've followed cach's instructions above and it's not working, I'm wondering if maybe you're using an image file type that won't work here. What are the three letters after the dot of the pic/file you're trying to use?

I thank you all, from the bottom of my 'oh so computer-know-nothing-heart'. As I said to another member, who tired to help me, I can run like support equipement (I'm an ICU nurse) but I cannot understand my computer.

Ive been trying to get an avatar, after I paste the code it says invalid file. I was using an avatar maker cause I just wanted something simple for right now like just my user name (the mrs). Then I tried to edit my signature and was able to get the code to "work" but it just shows the actual code and not the picture. So I tried it in the picture part and again invalid file. The one that "worked" was from my hot comments. Can anybody help me please?

Click on the Browse button and pick a pic off of your computer...

1. Finding an Avatar: Use your own pic or one from your files, or Google a celeb, animal, whatever, click on Images, and copy the one you like to you files.

2. Look on the far left hand side of the little FAD tool bar at the top of the page. Click on User CP. Scroll down until you see a link for Edit Avatar. Click on Browse. Your files will pop up, click on the image you want to use, then click Save. You can also use an image from photobucket or some other image hosting site by copying the image location URL, going to User CP, and pasting it where you see the URL box, then clicking Save.

If the one showing now is the actual size it will distort when you try to enlarge. But you would need to use a paint program (i.e. photoshop or the one that comes with windows) to make the image larger. Then save it and try going into your user cp and uploading the newly saved image. I hope that made sense.

Go into your user cp (at top), on left click on edit signature - delete what is in signature box, put in new word, click insert signature, then save. Does that help?

Unfortunately nope..every time I go to put my new sig pic in it comes up invalid file..I have my pics at Photobucket..confused...used to have no problem all of a sudden can't get my picture in!

Size of the signature picture: The maximum size of your custom image is 600 by 128 pixels or 100.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

Also, if the pic is in your album and your album is on private, it won't work. You have to put your album on public.

How was the pic formated--gif, jpeg, etc. If it is a ping or bitmap, it won't work here, and you would have to reformat it on photoshop or run it through photobucket.

Edit: The only album I saw was "Oh, Yeah" and both images are jpeg, but I'm leaving this up in case it helps someone else. Good luck.
