Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz would film I Love Lucy in a soundstage close to where I live.  The famous episodes that have them traveling to Hollywood, had a particular view from their hotel room.  I've always assumed it was filmed somewhere down Rossmore (Vine) but upon further analysis, it seems that the view from their hotel window was actually a photograph from the top of the soundstage where Desilu filmed.

This is the soundstage.  Look closely - the bracket holding the furthest sign is still there.  Cool.
